We went here for dinner and it was worth it. As in the Weltenburg monastery itself, the food was very good and at reasonable prices. The beer is - as is well known - fantastic and almost worth the visit on its own. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick. We'd love to come back.

Eat five stars. Was really very good and the portion was sufficient. Service only three stars. When asked about a free space, the only answer was: Everything is free on the right. But there were reserved signs everywhere. When asked again, the lady reacted somewhat arrogantly. Why wasn't I just given a seat in Corona times instead of the difficult to see through procedure with the reserved signs. After that the lady was still very friendly.

The place is lively and traditionally designed. Gives you a positive feeling. The food is great....I had a Bockbierschintzel and it was heavenly. Crisp, soft meat which was very well cooked and the flavours were awesome. Loved it (don't miss the sauce!!).

The taste of the food is good, but it didn't knock me off my feet for the price. My companion did not like the food at all. There is no bread basket with the lunch plate, it has to be ordered separately (and costs accordingly). The service was very friendly.

Restaurant and beer garden directly at the cathedral. The food was delicious, especially the dessert was great. The apple strudel is really homemade and had a little caramelized sugar on top. Heavenly! You can sit outside with a view of the cathedral, inside or in the back in the classic beer garden. It was pleasantly cool there even at 28 degrees under the trees. A recommendation: also reserve for the beer garden. A lot was already taken. The toilets are clean, the service is very nice and there are parking spaces on the Domplatz (for a fee, except on Sundays). Our dog was welcome and was given water straight away.

Unexpectedly we were really satisfied, not only with the abundant dishes with typical cuisine and the good beer, but also with the friendly service. Definitely to return.

It wasn't a very good memory because the beer wasn't cool, perhaps because there were so many people. It was nice that Koreans were only us (of course, I couldn't see Koreans anywhere else on a day trip, but...) The sausage was delicious^^

This is not the first time we have been here and certainly not the last time. :) The food so far always delicious, today tried the "Weltenburger" .... Something of class. ?? Service as always, very friendly, quick and courteous. I can only recommend it.

This is a restaurant and bar set within and beneath the Benedictine Abbey in the old centre of Regensburg, next t the old corn market. Next door, and probably part of the same building is the Asam Church. The Weltenburger am Dom is the oldest monastery-brewery in the world. We popped in for a couple of beers in the lovely wooden alcoves - not necessary to eat if there is a free table - and enjoyed the brief experience (it was very cold outside, the heat was welcome and we had 20 minutes to kill before meeting up with our tour group to get the train back to Munich). Staff were very friendly, but very young and pretty inexperienced - Christmas jobs? However it didn't diminish from our experience, and would certainly go back, maybe for lunch were we to find ourselves in Regensburg again, as the food looked much better than what we ate elsewhere that day!

A must when you are in Regensburg

Weltenburger am Dom - Odno of the best places in Regensburg where you can have a tasty meal. Especially the restaurant is famous for dishes of national Bavarian cuisine. Also in the restaurant you can taste the wonderful beer of a draft spill from the monastery brewery Veltenburg (Kloster Weltenburg)

Was hard to get in a restaurant. I am so happy they had a spot open for us. Great food and beer!

The food, the staff, everything was just perfect. We ate two soups and two main dishes for €40, which is absolutely reasonable price. I could just recommend it to everyone.

Best German restaurant I've been. Great price and food. Beautiful decoration and very nice service. I'll definetely come back once I visit Regensburg again.

Hospitably received, luckily there was just room because a table was released. I ordered the Bayerwald Salat. It was very tasty due to the generous amount of fried mushrooms with walnut and salad with house dressing. Even my children ate it. Great beer and it was very nice in the garden.

Delicious food & friendly service

Very good, Bavarian cuisine. Ambiance is very cozy and yet spacious. The beer is brewed itself and is therefore a really good light. The schnapps are really good, especially the apricot and the plum and cinnamon schnapps. The food is hearty, well seasoned and filling. Typical home cooking. Highly recommended, if you are in Regensburg and feel like a tasty piece of Bavaria has :)

I wasn’t a huge fan of the food I got “the Monday special” but the service was good beer was good.
